Our practice go at Debates

 We have been starting to learn a bit about debates.  It's sometimes difficult when you have to practice arguing something that you don't believe in yourself, like I had to argue that animal testing for medical research shouldn't be banned.  I was buddied up with Rebecca and she argued it should be banned.

Here's our first ideas.

Animal testing in medicine should be banned!

For -

I am for animal testing in medicine to be banned. This practice should not continue.

Animals should not be sacrificed for humans. People should find other ways to make medicine so animals can live longer and not have to suffer! 

Animals have feelings too!         

Against-

Animals should be used for medical research.

This research is saving human lives! The choice is either the animals die or the humans die, and humans are a higher functioning species than animals. There are many important medical breakthroughs that have happened, because animals can be used to test things before they are tested on humans.

The fish did it! My narrative story

 One morning Mr Baloney woke up and he knew something was missing but what was it? It was a piece of chocolate from his secret stash 

“WHO STOLE MY CHOCOLATE” he shouted! 

He knew someone stole it because he had a full block of black forest his favourite. There were only three people it could have been Miss Baloney, Teeny Baloney or Little Baloney. The first person he criticised was Little Baloney. He was a great finder and has the same sense of smell as a dog. So he went and asked him a few questions. 

“Did you steal my chocolate”? He said 

“no but what chocolate sounds great right now”. 

“Ok so he didn’t steal it so it must have been Miss Baloney ahha” 

“GET HERE RIGHT NOW MISS BALONEY”. 

“I’m coming honey” 

“DON’T CALL ME HONEY. 

“Who put your knickers in a twist.

 Up the stairs she went “ 

Did you steal my chocolate from my secret stash” 

“No Mr baloney i didn’t” 

“Well then who did”. 

The last person that could have done it was teeny baloney 

“how could he”. 

He marched down the stairs 

“WHERE IS TEENY BALONEY”

 “He’s sleeping so be quiet”

 “NO HE STOLE MY CHOCOLATE” 

``''he couldn’t have he can’t walk yet”.

 “ your right then who did it”. 

“Oh well I'm getting fat anyway”. 

The next day he woke up and saw chocolate all around Twow Twans mouth 

“THE FISH DID IT.

How Mammoths went extinct using Biteable

 The year 6s have been doing explanation writing we got given the topic of extinct animals and I chose Mammoths. Once we had done the writing we used a app called Biteable, is a app that you can add writing and images and make sort of like add for whatever you want.

 Dogs

All dog breeds are different sizes, shapes and don’t all eat the same amount.

I will be telling about all the different dog breeds like shapes, habitat, sizes, height, weight, and more.

Firstly these are some of my favourite dog breeds and the ones I will be telling you about German Shepherd,maltese,Jack Russell,Labs,foxy,pomeranian and heading huntaway cross.

Secondly You might know German shepherds as a police dog all fierce and scary but do you want to more about the intelligent dog.Temperament: Obedient, Intelligent, Curious, Alert, Loyal, Confident, Watchful, Courageous Weight: Male: 30–40 kg, Female: 22–32 kg Colors: Black, Black & Tan, Sable, Red & Black, Grey, Black & Silver Height: Male: 60–65 cm, Female: 55–60 cm German shepherds . German Shepherds are the common police dog they are very intelligent and big. The Maltese is normally white. I guess that’s just how they are. The Maltese is about 7 pounds 8-10 inches tall and lives to about 12-15 years.  It is a very alert dog and playful. One of the things that people like is that the maltese don't have fur. It is like wool so they don’t shed but you do have to shave them. This dog is really good if you have allergies because it doesn’t have fur. The pomeranian. Life expectancy: 12 – 16 years Mass: 1.9 – 3.5 kg (Adult) Temperament: Intelligent, Extroverted, Sociable, Playful, Active, Friendly Colors: White, Black, Sausage dogs are small long dogs and short legs. Life expectancy: 12 – 16 years Mass: 7.3 – 15 kg (Standard Size) Origin: Germany. Temperament: Clever, Stubborn, Devoted, Lively, Playful, Courageous Colors: Black, Chocolate & Tan, Black & Tan, Chocolate & Cream, Blue & Tan, Cream, Tan, Red. There are 3 different types of Dachshund: long haired,wire Haired and short haired.

Our dogs  A heading huntaway cross is a sheep dog It is fast and can be trained easily as a pup. This breed is called heading huntaway cross because Heading stands for going around a flock of sheep and huntaway is because they are good hunting dogs and cross is because they are cross breeds.Weight 25–40 kilograms (55–88 lb) Height 56–66 centimetres (22–26 in) Coat smooth or rough (grizzled) Color variable, commonly black and tan, tricolour. Jack Russells are one of my favourite breeds of dog. They are small and playful . Jack russell Life expectancy: 13 – 16 years Mass: 6.4 – 8.2 kg (Adult) Height: 25 – 38 cm (Adult, At the withers Origin: England Temperament: Stubborn, Intelligent, Energetic, Fearless, Athletic, Vocal Colors: White, Black & White, White & Tan. Jack Russell is a very energetic animal. A Jack Russell isn’t really for people in the town unless you have a big fenced area for it to run around.   Labradors are very loyal dogs, they aren't trouble, they listen well and are adorable. Life expectancy: 10 – 14 years Origin: Newfoundland Weight: Male: 29–36 kg, Female: 25–32 kg Temperament: Intelligent, Kind, Outgoing, Agile, Trusting, Even Tempered, Gentle Height: Male: 57–62 cm, Female: 55–60 cm Colors: Black, Chocolate, Golden. Foxy is like a Jack Russell but they are a bit bigger and not as energetic. Weight Male 3.5–5.5 kg the female is the same as the male Height Male 24 - 30.5cm Female is also the same Coat Short, dense, smooth texture Color Black, white,brown & tan Litter size 2-5 Life span 12 - 18. In conclusion, I have loved all the dogs we have had and unfortunately they have lived there days.

My Colour Poem and typatone

We have been using our senses to describe colour.  We then added it to typatone to give it some sound.

What is it????

What is this thing? I mean you can see the earth (and I don't know what it looks like in space) so I think that's what it is.
The volcano at the front could be the one that exploded in White Island, and they just photoshopped in the earth and stars. But it could be whatever want it to be, just open up your imagination. It could be a new planet in space who knows! Not me. Do you?
